PURCHASING A COMPLETED OR UNDER CONSTRUCTION HOME
If you are purchasing a home that has been completed or is nearing completion, all of the upfront decisions have been made, but there are still specific steps you need to take. Obviously, the homesite and floor plan have already been determined but, depending on the status of the home when you go under contract, you may still be able to make some selections and/or add options. Your New Homes Specialist will let you know what changes, if any, can be made. Once that has been determined, you are ready to complete the process.
STEP 1: SIGNING THE CONTRACT
At this point, you will review contract documents with New Homes Specialist and sign. If any changes or additions
are allowed, these will be included in the contract. Within 24 hours of signing, your initial deposit should be delivered by
check or wire. Also at this time, you will need to contact Greybrook's preferred lender for pre-qualification.
STEP 2: DESIGN APPOINTMENT (if needed)
If any changes or additions are allowed, a design appointment may be needed. This will be determined at contract and
the Design Consultant will reach out to schedule the appointment, which will be at the Design Center.
Once the design appointment is complete, a 10% design deposit will be due to Greybrook
STEP 3: BUILDER MEETING
Once the contract is signed and any design changes/additions are finalized, the community builder will reach out to you to
schedule a meeting to go over all change orders and selections, and any changes that will be included.
STEP 4: CLOSING
Unless the home is complete and the closing date is specified in the contract, Greybrook will set the buyer
orientaion and closing dates. You will be contacted by the Transaction Coordinator with dates and times!
STEP 5: MOVE IN!
Congratulations! You are now the owner of a brand new home from Greybrook. It's time to move in and enjoy!
